An advert from the Railway Gazette’s "Diesel Railway Traction" supplement of September 1962. Issued by the famous Hitachi concern of Tokyo, Japan, the advert shows the range of locomotive and railway rolling stock available from the vertically integrated engineering concern. It depicts a wide range of rolling stock including many JNR – Japanese National Railways – including both AC and DC electric locomotives as well as some multiple units such as thos eforming the "Sakura" limited express services.
The advert also shows several export orders and that includes to Indian Railways, Eqyptian Railways and the State Railway of Thailand.
