Agriculture Deputy Administrator of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) Lisa Pino was the keynote speaker at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Hispanic Association of Colleges and University (HACU) summer interns during the USDA/HACU/Tribal College summer intern orientation at USDA in Washington, DC, Monday, Jun. 6, 2011. Ms. Pino is a past member of the government wide HACU intern program and gave the students and graduates advice on her experience and guidance on how to make their experience as valuable as hers. The HACU/Tribal College National Internship Program represents more than 400 colleges and universities committed to higher education in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Latin America, Spain and Portugal and places student interns each year with federal agencies in Washington, DC or in field offices around the country.
