This artwork is number Two of my "6 Artworks in 6 weeks" project. the purpose of this artwork is to reflect emotion in humans. This particular emotion is a reflection of my feelings and how I feel contained within a world; the box is supposed to signify the containment, and the expression this sort of anxiety to get out.
I used Oil Pastels, which was a challenge to me at first, because I had never done any full Artworks in the medium. I enjoyed this artwork because it portrayed a different emotion than that which I usually express.
I based the drawing on a photograph, but I did not trace.
