It was here for just 5 days in June 1987 and ran in service for 4 of them. Fortunately for the photographer, having an office that overlooked the route on which it operated for the duration meant that several opportunities arose for pictures, including this one taken a short distance away as the Lancaster City Transport East Lancs-bodied Leyland Tiger heads along Newchurch Road away from Bacup, just past the junction with Park Road. 37 years on and it is still possible to see blue-liveried buses on the 464, with Blackburn Bus Company stock supplementing the incumbent purple things.
