Best summer we had since we set foot on the British isles, no doubt about it! Last weekend we spent two days in a row at the seaside once again. On Sunday we drove down south to visit Hope Cove. We never explored the Devon coast that far south and were delighted! Getting there was an adventure – featuring the most daring single track road devoid of passing places.
Hope Cove is a small seaside village and offers two beaches – we chose the one that also acts as a small harbour. I read that Hope Cove had a reputation for smuggling and for plundering wrecked ships – quite the pirate cove! The photo shows the view from the little pier towards the sea. Crystal clear water, rock pools to explore, sunbathing, ice cream, sand castles….we had so much fun!! No vitamin D supplements necessary at the moment 😀
